And that is why my friends I would like to call for the resurrection of the Aborigines' Protection Society (APS) and its dis-amalgamation from Anti-Slavery International.
I would like to state my belief that everybody has a right to claim aboriginal protection. I believe that your aboriginal identity should be based on mitochondria only and be resolute to a continent. There will be grey areas on some margins but I see no reason why Australasia and North and South America cannot be returned to their aboriginals. We live in the age of the aeroplane and it should be achievable that those that the Originals do not want on their continents could be returned to their specific mitrochondrical continents within a year or two. Obviously this will require mitrochondrical mapping of the whole population of the world. I believe that this should come about when the average price of whole genome sequencing becomes less than the average price of a passport. It will also draw nearer when real time sequencing is achieved. This is presumably an inevitability of Moore's law and the use of dna for identification.
It should be made mandatory that at a minimum any disturbed human remains should identify the mitrochondria. It is by far the most robust and abundant of the dna sequences.
Long live the Aborigines' Protection Society (APS)
