We should, as shovel says. be saying... good that 4 have nearly finished... and it will be good to know how they managed it, how they felt, what was good, what could be better, etc... its a start... so credit where credit is due. True, it may have been easier for them, being on the bursary scheme.. however.. at last we will have 4 people who have been in through the process. Training the trainers seems imperative.
I do remember that there has been some trouble with contact.. so if you have had trouble, give the IFA another email... let them know.. and they should be in touch.
Sorry, we were both writing at same time...I have recently reminded them by email, waiting for a response. I do fully support the NVQ, it goes with everything I argue for joined up archaeological training -in theory- but there is just too little information out there about it all, what are the targets? how is it being rolled out? who are they aiming at? Good luck to the four on bursaries, but surely it should be more? Was there a pilot to get feedback/tweak the system etc as Host says?
