Kevin, the fact that half the members have posted once is hardly the point. All I was saying was to watch out as maybe 70% of traffic on here is by maybe 30 odd people, and that if BAJR wants to ensure it represents all its members it needs to be careful, as I believe it is, to get the views of the silent majority (sorry, didn't mean to sounds like the Daily Mail). I was using the Crisis poll as an example to highlight all of this. Extrapolating from tiny groups who make a lot of noise (like me?!) is never good without further research.
BAJR gets heard at the top tables because it has clout, primarily as it is the principle mechanism for advertising, but also as it is seen as a conduit for the opinions of the lower tiers and including BAJR is a way of being seen to be concerned about being inclusive. If BAJR can expand, and show itself to be representative, and speak for us (who are we?) then that is good, and I too can see the potential, but splintering for the sake of it won't help. I want to know what any new group would offer that is different from what the IFA/DF/Prospect are trying to do, and how any expanded BAJR group would do more than it already does!!! I also think one of the biggest problems is that a lot of people don't want to pay subs!
