We virtually had to resort to breaking knuckles to get one of the community archs on the web course and appropriate permissions to update the site. It's only because of that really that we appear on the website at all. We got lucky i think! We still have problems with getting things approved, with the rigidity of corporate design, and with putting things on there that people can download.
It is a tricky area; and i think one that community groups can make the most of if they have the know-how and resources, because they don't have the same hoops to jump through.
That could be one of the reasons why the Shorewatch site is so clear; because it was designed specifically for a purpose.
Not that I know even the first thing about web design! [:o)]
