I am thinking about including a section on UK Community archaeology on Past Horizons Projects section. Do you think this might get around the council problem? Each person responsible for community archaeology could have a password and they could edit their projects whenever they wanted to. It would also be extremely easy to add a project when a new one comes up. Photographs would have to be emailed to me as jpgs for inclusion. If it was made a central point where everyone came to look for what was on in their area maybe it would take on a life of its own.
What do people think?
In principle I think it's an excellent idea but (there's always a but), my council, if the council was identified as the originator of the project, would still want to retain power of veto over everything I wanted to post; even on an external website and might not let me post on an external website at all.
