In answer to unit of ones questions " who paid the council tax with this accomodation? Did the trust pick workers up from the accomodation, how were they transported to and from site? Would the accomodation accept dhss if the work finished?"
1) The unit paid the council tax - but it is now included as a benifit so we are being charged tax on the amount they paid.
2) The unit used to transport us to and from the trust office in a minibus driven by staff
3) We were not involved in any of the decisions about accomodation and we were not the registered tennants - the trust rented the house in its own name and we signed a document saying we would leave as sson as we were no longer employed by them so there was no option to stay and try for dhss.
We had no idea how much the accomodation cost and the standard was hugely variable, and some people got stung even worse by staying on longer in the contract as when people left the cost of the house increases as split between less people. Imagine the situation where you are living in a five bedroom house ( in which at 2 rooms were occupied by couples) which empties to two people - you have no idea whats coming as you have not been warned.....
Fantasic - sometimes you have to try and see the funnyside but am failing miserably on this issue!!!!
