David,
It is past midnight and I have done over a 1000 miles in the last week, the week before that was election week and I simply cannot remember the week before that. So these comments are from a tired consultant who was looking up something on BAJR to settle an argument in the pub about software.
Why are you the director of BAJR - hosty - creator - owner - but director so 1970s unit or excavation. Managing Director may be.
Democratic - interesting debate to be had about the nature of democracy and concensus.
The heritage industry - do you provide jobs information and liason with IHBC, the Museums association, institute of conservators? What about the rest of the historic environment.
How about.
to provide and exchange practical information and services about the historic environment and employment and training in that sector.
The mission statement you suggests forgets the basic premise of BAJR ? archaeologists not archaeology and the fact that their lot is not a happy one. To protect the historic environment we have Rescue, as a bye the bye I have an original 1973 Rescue Car sticker unused, is there an archive or should I sell it on ebay. For standards we have IFA and IHBC. Where does the fact that an archaeologist might get sent down get discussed except on BAJR.
Keep up the good work
Peter
