Yes I have found Ning confusing, and in fact slightly sinister.
I accidentally created a duplicate account as I tried to join another archaeology network on Ning, and then discovered that it is actually very difficult to delete a Ning account once it has set up - you have to send an email requesting deletion and then they 'delete' your account... this took three days and I am still not entirely convinced since you can apparently 'reactivate' it by quoting a code (so how 'deleted' is it really?).
But yes, it is nice to "meet" other fencing archaeologists!

Yup... Ning was a good idea, but give me a system that the only sinister person controlling it is me...
Just kidding folks!

Any chance of using something that I can get onto with the Orwellian County server? Alternatively, it could just stay the same as it is now - which is fine incidentally! :face-huh:

Ning is going to be abandoned.. it was not made too public anyway..
Curator... you could try this and see if you can see it...

if you can... then the next version will work.
BAJR Forum needs to move forward.. and allow more functions and communications...
I do dearly love this forum... but... it is old and worn... and i want to see places to add images, documents, network, learn etc...
as Marilyn Ferguson said
?It's not so much that we're afraid of change or so in love with the old ways, but it's that place in between that we fear . . . . It's like being between trapezes. It's Linus when his blanket is in the dryer. There's nothing to hold on to.?
