folks, as much fun as this is please bear in mind that it is supposed to be a usable strapline for the product not just an in-joke for us lot.

Took da words out of my mouth...
And by the way... they have now upped the prize... given the er... cough... quality!
A trowel, a Leaf and Square, A Spear and JAckson 8m tape.. 100metres of masons line (50 each of white and dayglo) and... believe this !! a spanking new Spear and Jackson mattock (for that stubborn feature)
PLUS... (so you must have impressed them!) they are dedicating a section of the website to archaeology... and want images of us, with our loverly trowel... whether old or new, worn or not. - more of that later.
"I don't have an archaeological imagination.."

What heavy soil?
What hard strat?
Wrought here still (i.e. British Made)
Wicked hard steel
Worn, honed, sturdy
Wanted, held, stolen (How many times?)
More to come!

Vulpes,
I have to say that I like both 'Want, held, stolen' and 'Winning heritage from the soil'.
Nice!

Must point out that if I were to win, the prize would go to a certain local amateur crew, as the only time I use a trowel nowadays is for pointing (at other peoples features)! Well that's what they're for after all. Typical curator etc...
