Nope, same part of the world tho, its Long Meg. Taken on a uni field trip to Cumbria a few years ago. Went to Castlerigg on that trip too, fantastic views there, mountains all round.

Ooh er! We're in danger of going to the second page with this!! Eek!
Trowel packed and a trusty pair of gloves. All of my mates in the North East are giving me grim tales of howling gales and heavy rain...deep joy! Clearly the right setting for my two weeks excavating "holiday" at Arbeia! Oh, and camping...still blame Su!}
Bottle of Kronenberg to hand and the dvd of Centurion to watch...laters!

Not really...Centurion is pretty pants...lots of running and shouting and a very predictable end...didn't realise the Picts were such good cavalry and had stirrups almost three centuries before anyone else...}
Well, better go and pack I suppose...:face-stir:

We might drop by during the week as we're up near Vindolanda from the 26-31, at the Roman Army Museum for the weekend but have Thursday and Friday free. I blush to admit we've not made it to Arbeia yet.
You can't blame me for the weather this week, though, or next week as we're in Scotland. Have a good time getting muddy and wet.

Only if that's "PM" as in "Pint of Martini"*. In a pint mug** please with a fruit kebab, a paper umbrella, a sparkler and an acapella harmonised chorus of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" from the cocktail waiters as it arrives. I may drink in bulk, but let's be classy about it, eh?
