If you need to be IFA to get a job, just get a pen and add the letters 'PIFA' after your name. Its free, and you'll probably get away with it.

Wouldn't it be cheaper than joining - and legal(?) - to change your name by deed poll, so that it was exactly the same as now, but with a new surname? eg. - John Smith = John Smith MIFA. I guess you could add all sorts of qualifications this way!

Blast... has another advert slipped through my legal goggles filter. I do make it clear that adverts can only ask for IFA membership as preffered... Until of course the Chartered or Licenced system comes into being
