i thought, that the company had a 'house', with rooms at ?50 a week [taken direct from wages...]...
so, in effect, i could work for them, if i was happy not to get paid for 8 weeks for a start, and to loose ?50 a week, to pay THEM to work for them!
Why should you get free accomodation? its your choice to move to the midlands.

I can't imagine why no one takes archaeologists seriously...
Any time Chumbawumba get mentioned I really start thinking about getting another job...

i try (at times) to take myself seriously, and the rest of the world...which seems a fair place to begin...
archaeologist would indeed be a sorry lot if they didb't even take themselves seriously (chumba - or not)

Oh, I think there are plenty of archaeologists who take themselves seriously, on an individual level, it's the lack of taking ourselves seriously collectively that's the problem.

Grindlecat - If standing up for my rights means getting drunk, being pissy with everyone, and extolling my own general obnoxiousness as a badge of rank, then no. I'll leave that to you, you're much better at it as my above posts amply demonstrate. :face-kiss:
