Yes weegie you have got as far as I have, 1000 years in royals hands with a pathetic glitch of a small skirmish but come 1949 hand it over for pond dipping management. Its going to be fab dipping when they get it all cleaned up.

it would be a step in the right direction but I also think that you and I and American salvage firms have rights to it as well. I would also chuck historic royal places into the pot as well. All these properties should go into private hands and see where the wind blows but first they should go into one pot as I don?t see the difference between them except some have creamed off the easy bits and I don?t see what they have to do with charity. Bolingbroke, all the eh hrp, and nt properties are still in an ownership more akin to the domesday kings land. But eh in particular should totally get out of property, field units and just be a statutory advisor.

Sorry got lost, eh mostly does castles and nt mostly does houses and in carbon foot print terms neither are sustainable, they are never going to be green. As far as I am aware if you want to conserve something you have to put it in a box, keep the light off it and control the humidity which aint sustainable- All of these national assists came into the hands of eh and nt because the assets were totally redundant and either the crown agents, Historic Royal Palaces (is an independent charity) hrpiaic-not very old (why doesnt molas run the tower) or any relatives of the original inhabitants could not bare to live in those places, so now they get lumbered on something called society which does not exist, bolingbroke is now a pond dipping site but it would make a much better 4 wheel drive course
