However, for this Award the criteria is as follows.

An amazing rush for Keys to the Past. !
I do like that site though one question i have (and it is because, one important aspect (imho) is to allow people to get involved)
in the GET INVOLVED Section, there is mention of lots of things to do, but no link to these events.? where are they?

Hi All, it is a bonny day here in Durham.
We just wanted to reply to BAJR regarding our 'Get Involved' Section.
If you click on Education on the side bar you'll see that there is a link to the CBA and to our nearest YAC in Newcastle, hopefully soon we will be able to add another link to YAC here in County Durham. The News and Event section, rather than have a blank page has links to favourite sites and FAQs. At the moment we haven't added our new events, but after the 1st April and everything that comes with that date for us we should be able to update it with events at Binchester Roman Fort and a new community excavation for people to 'get involved'.
Best Wishes

Come on Sitelines! ...
I do like the Teachers Resources... very clear and enjoyable, as well as using the resource of the HER in an intersting way.
my favourite from this.. is the Hadrians Wall Challenge
and the quote...
Quote:quote:However, archaeologists do not know everything! "
It gets children thinking laterally, to work out where they think the best place for the wall would be running through a valley. based on evidence.. and best of all, there is no right or wrong answer!
Very good.
I am enjoying this deeper look at our HERs, something we often only glance at, or use for scoping work... there is a rich resoure they all hold, time we looked :face-huh:

Have to say I am dissapointed at Norfolks showing.. The website is packed with info and great resources. The interface is a bit frustrating, and you feel like you are having to click endlessly to get some places, and then, have to start all over again.. which can leave you tearing your hair out... HOWEVER... the crafty section is true genius.. the teachers resources are top.. the trails and how to guides are a real starter for people to get involved.. So come on folk of Norfolk! get voting for a resource that has many many good features.

Another meaningless poll [xx(]
Strongly suspect that the results are strongly linked to turn out and the ability of each party to mobilise supporters rather than a true indication of quality. After all who of the 450 people who have voted can honestly say that they have spent 5 or even 10 minutes using each site?
That said, sending me emails begging me to vote for your HER is likely to have the opposite effect. :face-approve:

Well I for one have spent more than 10 minutes looking at these sites... it is becasue of this poll I have. and hope more do.. Therefore more people will look, therefore more people will spend some time... I note that this has had a positive effect on highlighting the HER study from Southampton, and accessing benefits..
Plenty of glass half full stuff...
As they say on tv land... you don't like it... switch off... :face-approve:
asking me to vote will have no effect either... as I have already used my vote...
does it show support? perhaps it does... I still think that the Norfolk site needs more votes!
