The Thames is the longest open-air archaeological site in London and the foreshore is vulnerable to daily scouring by the tidal river and needs careful monitoring. The TDP has been to involve the public with a comprehensive survey and monitoring of the threatened sites. Foreshore Recording Observation Groups (FROG) with membership drawn from local communities will be set up to monitor and record these sites.
