I worked on 2 MSC schemes - between them, the worst 10 months of my life. Same old crap pay and conditions, but working with a group of people of whom only 3 out of 20 had any actual interest in archaeology.

Troll, notwithstanding our previous disputes about consultants, I agree with you entirely that on-site work is the sharp end of archaeology and site staff are under-valued.
