Should BAJR become a MIFA?
BAJAR mini poll is asking the above question, I think it?s very important that we all vote to get a better idea about the general feeling.
I personally think BAJAR should stay independent.
If you think otherwise please go to mini BAJAR poll and let them know. then come back here to tell us why.

@Ere, hang on, this thread is on the other forum! I voted yes but I qualified this on the other thing, i.e. I would like to see David become a personal member, which he would have to do anyway for BAJR to become an RAO, which I'm not really bothered about

David, bajr, mr hosty,
I think this is a complex issue. As a practising archaeologist, if IFA is worth joining, and as a curator, you must join. (assumming you are qualified) if you are going to insist on IFA codes of conducts etc being followed. Similarly you should join the institute of historic building conservators, the CBA as well as the association of archaeological illustrators, the association of diocesan and cathedral archaeologists, the association of environmental assessment assessors, Standing Conference of Archaeological Managers both the association and institute of expert witnesses etc. Suddenly do you feel poorer at UKP 100 or so a go.
BAJR is an infomation scource first and foremost - in effect a publisher. Are BAR and Oxbow registered RAOs? You have achieved much but I think you should keep things simple at least for the moment.
The question is should BAJR become a MIFA not a RAO. I think you need to clarify what and why you are joining.
Peter

Seemed to have confused everyone... including myself...
Should I (as the physical embodiement of all that is BAJR :face-thinks: )become a MIFA. and in doing so BAJR has a voice inside the IFA.
I am also a member of ARIA, AAIS and soon...ALGAO oh, and lets not forget RESCUE. so yup... I just love them fees. spare us a dime!
On that note... the DIgger is in real need of cash... I will be producing teh online version over the next couple of days... donations welcome!
Another day another WSI?
