I see that Silvermans also have a web-based mail order service if you can't make it in person to the Mile End Road

well, I am a firm believer in the top-cut-off-woolly-hat-scarf-thingy. Also wear three t-shirts - vest, short sleeved, long sleeved under hoodie and jacket, thermals, two pairs of socks and inner soles, and i've still been cold.
Would also disagree that office workers jobs are necessarily more sedentary, digging bodies tends to involve rather a lot of kneeling down in one place for a long time...

Right.Them there ?25 gloves. Supposed to be 100% waterproof.Just finished a week of digging in this wonderful weather and the result is......crud.
When they say 100% waterproof, they actually mean that they will only be so if you keep them dry.Just bloody dandy. ?25 squid rinsed from the pocket for gash kit.Not to be outdone, Troll will be sending the company said gloves back with warm prezzie inside.

Brrrrrr, just been fieldwalking a possible barrow and now have frozen ears and clay all over my office trowsers because I couldn't be bothered changing out of them
Don't think my ears will ever stop stinging! Also slightly dissapointed that there wasn't any flint
, but got a couple of chunks of medieval pottery to make up for it. Wonder if I can stick it on the smr as a mill mound

Should have stayed in the car. Wouldn't be the first fenestral survey or the last. Do you work for a county council?

Spent last 2 days on a horrible evaluation with unexplained live services going everywhere, came home and the boiler blew up. Now for a weekend without heating and typing with gloves on...

Spoil my poorly veiled anonimity by saying who/what I do/don't work for? I think not
At least not until the conference, if I get a ticket

Ah the key to warm feet at last. Not sure what the girlfriend will make of it when I ask her for a pair of tights though
If you go this route, don't forget to cut a hole in the gusset. I wore a pair when on an arctic exercise in the army. Real pain when nature calls...
