Was wondering a while back about the contributors to the message board, more specific- what positions the hold (not where!). Just interested to see proportion of job types (diggers, environmental, finds, tea makers etc). Anyone interested?

Maybe a poll is the best place for this? Might be a bit of a furore over the categories. Prepared to see myself shot down here but how bout:
Archaeological technician (digger)
Supervisor
Project officer
Company director
Specialist (to include - finds, enviro, human remains, illustrator, stone/flint, animal bones, surveyor, aerial photography specialist, buildings archaeologist, geophysicist, characteristation...)
Local gov employee
Consultant
EH/CADW/Historic Scotland employee
Academic (researcher, lecturer etc)
Interested amateur
Museum curator
Any other suggestions for ones I've missed or got wrong? Might want to split up the local gov bods a bit further? And perhaps an 'other, please state' category? [:I] Would be good if people could tick several, in case they have a job identity crisis when they see the list!

There are (still) some local government employees fulfilling all of the roles in the main list.
(obviously not the same individual, but that might depend on the authority)
D. Vader
Senior Consultant
Vader Maull & Palpatine
Archaeological Consultants
Our geophysicists have completed their scan of the area and found nothing

You'd need 2 categories - Student Archaeology and Student Other or you'd miss me out.

What about Unemployed - or does that automatically put one in the Interested Amatuer category? (Are there Uninterested Amateurs?
)
A lot of Students will move directly into Unemployed in a couple of months time........

Ooh ok, lots of suggestions.
Yep, lets add student in there, pretty big category to miss out (doh!) and agree with the archaeology vs non archaeology. Unemployed is a defo too - and we can take 'interested' off amateur as of course, they'll all be interested (we hope!).
Any more?
