My weekly trawl of job adverts (for
http://www.freewebs.com/outwageuk) has turned up this peach of a job based in the Scilly Isles. I realise that the advert didn't make it onto BAJR but thought folk might be grateful if their attention was drawn towards it

Troll mate, I wouldnt even apply!
Its more than likely another council stitch up where the job has gone to one of the councillers relatives even though they have no qualifications or any experience. It happens all the time here in Wales, why should it be any different over there!

Actually have the application for this job. Tempted to apply just to see what happens. Deep,Deep,Deep, why the big negative mate? I know of a couple of jobs that friends did not apply for for various negative reasons, to find out that Sod all ended up applying for them.

This is so true. A speaker at the Rescue conference at the weekend said that a recent local authority archaeology job advert paying well into the mid-?20k attracted only 13 applications.

Have you got any evidence for this, or have you forgotten to put the tinfoil lining in your hard hat?
