Looking back at the Outwage archive, I haven't particularly noticed a big drop in job adverts recently, although there does seem to be a preponderance of work in the 'Celtic' realms and maybe that is beyond your travel range.
Maybe it's time for a spot of 'cold calling', in which case can I recommend the Outwage Archaeological Employment Directory with address, phone number, web site, e-mail and contact person details of 159 potential employers
http://www.freewebs.com/outwageuk/employ...ectory.htm
PS Can I also say (ahead of David), that BAJR provides an even larger directory of potential employers, although I'm not so sure that BAJR would condone cold calling.

It isn't blank but it does take a little while to load. You can minimise it whilst you wait. When it is loaded it will start playing a Swedish ballad with a trumpet intro......

If the rumours that I have heard are true, there are a lot of UK jobs heading our way on the pipeline job!
I know its an emotive subject but, work is work, and the pipeline is going ahead anyway so its better that the archeaology gets done properly than not done at all!

Hi DD. I'm a tad out of touch with UK digging at present so would you care to elaborate on 'the' pipeline job?

The Gas pipeline job, cutting right through the Brecon Beacons from Milford Haven.
As soon as I hear that the next section is starting I'll post a contact number.
