I've done the deed and will copy any response I receive here. Fingers crossed.

Ditto - my MP is regarded as a reliable rent-a-gob (and a bit of a media tart), so i'm a bit miffed he hasn't responded yet.

Well, emailed mine on Thursday and not heard a sound since. According to
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/ he's not the most reliable when it comes to replying to his constituents concerns. He works in the Home Office, so I guess he's pretty busy at the moment! xx

had a letter today from Anne Moffat the East Lothian MP .. as she was a former president of Unison you will be glad to know she talked to Paul farrelly and confirmed with him in person that she will ensure she will remain in London and support the bill. she recognises the importance of this Bill and will be there.. Top result!

Just got this today. This sounds quite encouraging despite the Friday difficulty.
'Dear Mr Davies,
Thank you very much for getting in touch: my union Amicus has also lobbied me on this. The position is that it's difficult for me to be in Westminster that day due to constituency commitments, but I'll try to manage it if the Bill looks in danger of not getting the 100 supporters. Paul Farrelly is talking to government whips about getting support for it, psosible with modifications, and if he succeeds then there will be no problem. I do sympathise with the objective - ever since reading Polly Toynbee's book "Hard Work" I've realsied the problems for agency workers.
I'm always pleased to find constituents on email, as I can give them a better service. I send roughly weekly local and national news updates, not very partisan in style (the idea is to be useful rather than propagandist), and ask for feedback to help me represent constituents' views accurately. Would you like to receive them?
Yours sincerely
Nick Palmer MP (Broxtowe)'

Got my response during the weekend. Will add the exact response later, but in short he said unless the government signals its support it won't become law, and he wouldn't be available on the day in any case. Candid, but not overly promising.
