Could you phrase that last reply in a slightly more coherant way - i dont understand the point you are trying to make? That equality should not happen as it isnt fun anymore?

A quick search and have found this online (love the name) and they ship internationally!
http://www.charmandhammer.com/
Haven't had time to check through it properly but might be worth a look. And with exchange rates, possibly good value for money too!

I would like to add my voice to the other women above, I am also shorter and wider. I have to get Large Hi-vis clothing in otder to fit the chest and hips, which then leads to excessive length. Any trousers without an elasticated/drawstring waist usually need braces which leads to many custard jokes.
It is an issue, because (as was mentioned above) it doesn't exactly make women look like they should be there. Perhaps employers should do it the other way amd buy all women's stuff and make the men wear it. That's no more unfair.....
On the shovelling, mattocking etc front. I always found it was technique rather than strength and that's what I taught other people. Extra large clothes or overly tight clothes make for extra effort, however, which really doesn't help us be more productive.
Productivity might be a good way to go with employers, plus it's PPE. It's supposed to protect us. If we end up tripping over it (for example) it's not fit-for-purpose.

But would you wear them? }
On the hi-vis jackets fronts, I was hoping for more from the 'bomber' jacket style, but they ride up and I get a cold back.

In Scotland... surely for men that would be a hi-vis kilt? Sounds perfect for those very hot days (although watch out for midges)

Dont kid. I know a Swedish company that sells hi-vis kilts. I will try and find a link....
We were discussing this last night (isn't it great that BAJR stimulates discussion amongst the digging cognescenti) and came up with exactly the same solution as Old Girl....supply a typical construction project with only women friendly PPE and see how long it takes the men to get pissed off. We figured between seconds and about a minute and a half....
