It seems that CPAT have managed to sort out an arrangement woth HMCR that allows the provision of accomodation at no personal expense to the recipient. Thats fantastic....they deserve our congratulations and perhaps put into perspective the inabilities of other archaecological employers to do the same. Good luck with the project.....If I were looking for work right now my application would already be in transit.....

Not that spectacular, not much different to what we normally pay (1.50 a day more), only real difference is we usually provide the accommodation (which often works out to a lot more than that per week), plus we do accom and mileage. If you're impressed by that then some units must be paying b****y awful wages!

Well, if you are indeed paying wages to your employees and providing all these perks, then you must be good too.

Mentioning tents just seems to result in a stream of abuse from the diggers of today.....hence all the luxury holiday cottages with satellite tv, hot tubs and, so I'm led to believe, occasionally swimming pools (never on my jobs though, far too old-school for that sort of molly-coddling)....can't help feeling I started digging in the wrong decade, gone are the days of having to chase the sheep out of your tent of a morning (no, I didn't invite them in, whatever rumours you've heard!)....
