"Mr Pendragon, of Stonehenge, said he would not be seeking charitable status for his own order - the Loyal Arthurian Warband - as it was a political wing and therefore had no need to be recognised as a charity"
Erm, I think this is sounding more like a wing of the Raving Monster Loony Party.
And Christianity, Islam, Seventh Day Aventists are still mocked so not sure why charitable status and recognition as a religion should "protect" Druidism.
Sorry, does my post count as mocking druids? It was not intended to do so...:I

A bit like the militant wing of the Salvation Army?

Only if it was a white chicken.
And...
...did the bacon sandwich have red sauce, Heinz ketchup, Daddy's, HP or brown sauce? It's all relevant to the acceptance of the sacrifice you know. Very complicated procedure...

Oh! So the sauce is supposed to go IN the sandwich? So much for my purification rituals then - off to the shower again.

But of course, the use of chickens for ritual purposes could only have been practised from the late Iron Age onwards in this country, at least. I don;t think there is any archaeological evidence for them earlier than that. And as for the ritual use of ketchup - well, that would have to have been introduced by the well-known and flourishing Druidic community based in Central America in the 16th century. Hmmm I feel a paper coming on....anyone want to write the next bit?

THE indigenous religion?
THE indigenous religion?
FFS.
Just because they ticked a few boxes for the government, it doesn't give them official approval it just says they know how to fill out forms.
I have no problem with people deciding on how they worship. I have a problem with people dressing up their personal/political agendas as 'THE indigenous religion'.

Presumably to keep the Jedi contingent happy we'll have to start cutting the crusts off the sandwich with a light-sabre? ....maybe that's where the ketchup tradition started, no blood from the chicken using a L-S....yes, there's definitely a paper in there somewhere but more research needed...maybe parallel sites but one using a plastic chicken....
What happens on sites where they didn't bother with the sacrifice, plastic tardis blow over more often? :face-thinks:
