actually i am sure. those people in the appag
http://www.appag.org.uk/mps.html can make a difference and they are advised by our very own
http://www.appag.org.uk/advisory.html and so it is up to us to put pressure on those august bodies to start making a difference. but those very same august bodoes who represent us, wont feel any pressure unless we unite and make a bigger, more coherant noise than we currently are
these threads are populated by very few individuals and i for one would like to know why all the guests and browsers have nothing to say?

Yes...and without the "foreign place" that the past reminds us this once was, it is more difficult to imagine a real future that is different from the present.
But yes, snappily...thats it. I will sleep on it too, but thankyou for doing so for me.

Overeas comment is being added to the message for the Saturday meeting (and others from here as well. BAJR (thats all of us) has done well to help this along with some great positive and positive criticisms as well.)
If you are able to go... remember:

And news in... Tony Robinson has confirmed interest in supporting this.. BAJR (or I should say me) supports this wholeheartedly. This is not about whether we (as archaeologists) like the TT or not... it is about a public face that the public know. So be good. !

If anyone is interested in attending and resides in the Oxfordshire area (or near proximity and needs a lift) please see the "Rescue Meeting" thread. TT has done a considerable amount to raise the profile of archaeology. That can only be a good thing. I admit to not being a viewer, but then again I went to see Gladiator in the cinema with a Romanist...If TR comes on board all the better, a high pofile spokesperson is a valuable asset.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Hi all,
You’ll be pleased to hear that this thread has prompted me to make my first comment on BAJR!
I do support the discussion and the project- can it be called a project? Just one suggestion, I think it is great that Tony Robinson is supportive, can we get anybody else involved. Dan Snow springs to mind!
