I currently have a FAcebook profile that says 'Keep Calm, Occupy London'....I think maybe a little Photoshopping could soon change that to 'Keep Calm - Occupy Hillforts' or maybe 'Don't Panic - Occupy tentatively dated causewayed enclosures'....

I am old yer no, an me knees aint what they used to be. Started to read the link. Got bored. Short attention span an all that. And it is to the hallowed wiki-halls of half-truths and misinformation.
I know nothing about economics and little about politics. Was hoping for an enlightened summary to....well...enlighten me and others in their rantings.

Would we actually then sleep in the tents we've put up, and does any archaeologist own a nice enough one? And will there be Starbucks? I'm in :face-approve:

Robin Hood Tax = new tax on financial transactions (ie those thieving bastards who invent money, profit from speculation about that invented money, and devise massive complex deals to remove themselves from accountability and repercussions)(however, Robin Hood/Tobin Tax is NOT Sufficient - a major re-orientation of government process and banking is Necessary
Kev - I like - ....if only it was still summer.........:face-rain:...i wonder - hypothetically- which sites would work best?
Dino - I am a multiple tent household (2, 3, 4 and as it happens a whopping 9 person monster) - or you can share my sleeping bag in a Bender:face-angel:

I'll put up my three-man crew shelter if there's something solid to tie it to.
Dino: It's the local unemployed folks that I'm having problems with. They keep kicking my wing mirrors off in protest that I've actually got a car.

Round here its students not protesting about anything apart from the bar shutting :face-crying:
I'm 15st (16 with beer and a curry) and still fairly solid as long as you're careful where you tie the ropes! - or we could use GnomeKings mega-tent, room to stretch out and if we all stay near different corners, and pile the beers in the 4th, it should be ok in any high winds that sneak over the ramparts :face-approve:
Have a friend in Canada who reakons the camp there is great since its given all the local homeless somewhere to pitch up for a few weeks where they're not being hassled by the cops

Cheers Gnomey.
I agree, the fine line between the banks and government has now been exposed as being non-existant.
Change is needed.........but history teaches us that such major changes are always painful for most and often bloody.
I think that the required drastic change wont happen unless those (in power) with a vested interest in denying change are no longer there.
Whether its a revolution, civil war or natural disaster.........its bad news for all.
And besides after the 'new order' has been in place for a while they tend to turn into their predecessors and your back to the start again (hence revolution).
But saying all that........I'm looking forward to the coming of The Asteroid..............all Hail Epophis bringer of dissolution, darkness and non-being!

Be careful what you wish for........ You might just get it}
Was a bit disappointed to hit forty many years ago without experiencing the nuclear disaster I had sincerely belived would take out the planet before I was thirty. Bit of a loss at what to do with a part of my life I had not planned for. Decided to take up archaeology that put me back on track doom and gloom wise
