That first picture brought back memories, but it left out the camouflage netting we had to cover the huts with. They were on an important scheduled monument high on a cliff edge and we needed to reduce the visual impact when viewed from the town below. The only site huts with fully functional electricity supply good enough to run a computerised drawing office. This was E H, never had such facilities before or since

I've seen cabins start off looking like Fig 3, and one day I'll figure out how to prevent the workforce getting into them :face-crying:

The timing is so ironic...

I'm dying to know - why is the timing ironic?
Over here in Ireland site conditions generally wallow between a single hut for everything (along with some sort of secure lock-up) and fig.2 (excluding the hedgehog, that was pure fiction.)
