Quote:On a totally different note has anybody got a good cocktail recipe to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic???
A glass of ice surely? Decorated with a Leonardo DiCaprio action figure (head down.)

Wow that's what I call a centre piece though getting hold of the gunpowder might be a problem.

Greetings fellow Site Hut dwellers - pleased to find this still on the front page. I had a terrible feeling it may have sunk under a hail of over use after the Pub Dig fiasco...:0
What's been happening? Anything exciting?
I'm on a diet so I've left some nice elderflower flavoured water on the bar to celebrate my 33/1 Neptune Collonges win in the National.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

Welcome back Mr D the Elderflower water will make a nice change from Unit of 1's fermented vinegar . Do I dab it behind the ears or drink it?

<wavity wave> Wax - how are you diddlnig?
You can dab it if you like but it may get a bit sticky after a few days. Drinking is better. Or I'm on green tea now. Diet has only been going for five days so I am still in the first flush of "triumph". Not sure if it could cope with the temptation of a Friday bender...we'll have to see.}
I quite like fermented vinegar...Unit seems to have plenty to go round!

lets get this sorted hic vinegar does not fement. but idoes cerate an ester with alcohol so long as you control the atmopsfhriuic ambiance. and esters are tasty, sorry forgot to add hic apples and paers not stares but tasty very very tasty hic (although sometimes undrinkable unless you are brought up since birth on it like what my children are) hic
ps I would be very interested in a bateria that would turn acetic acid hic into alcohol or possibly a very cheap source of esters hic
