An excellent resource for expanding the knowledge of archaeologists into the sediments and soils they excavate...(maybe not quite at the moment but...)
Not free to access the entire article but for another skill, and some cheap training in archaeological aspects of sediments and soil recording, this website and brand-new IntArch article is extremely useful and pitched at an accessible level.
Plus it gives a very good handle on what geoarchaeologists and associated environmental specialists do...if anyone is remotely interested
Now, there's no excuse for describing the fill as brown soil wi stones in! [:I]
