However I have no real need for the prize at the moment. Can I donate it to a worthy cause of David´s choosing. A local group, a community archaeology project maybe.......

I can now inform the gentleman that the trowel was handed over, with due ceremony to the Edinburgh Archaeological Field Society - and they are chuffed. So a thanks to you... and well... lets see what fiendish crossword Chemin comes up with next.
