Which Archaeology TV show winds you up the most? I've picked ones that have annoyed me - feel free to suggest others!

Extreme Archaeology! Utter pap and although I can happily moan my way through an episode of any of the other options, this was the least realistic portrayal of archaelogy to hit our screems.
What's that you say? It wasn't fiction? Blimey!
On the plus side, I always liked the We Are History take on the Time Team roadshow - two useless production assistants in a bombed-out camper van, scribbling bad reconstructions in a sketch book. And who can forget their 'reconstruction' of the Graet fire of London?

"Something Else" - Anything involving Graham Hancock. That's fiction (or at best, unsubstantiated theorising) presented as fact, which irks me badly.
Mr Hancock's own special brand of McArchaeologyLite, once made me shout at the television for a solid hour.

Me? I've voted for Two Men in a Trench. I found the idea of two big kids running around frantically, dressing up in funny costumes and generally having a good laugh, whilst simultaneously detailing how two groups of people clubbed/hacked/stabbed/shot/dismembered/blew up/threw each other in mass graves after stripping the corpses of anything valuable to be particularly inappropriate.

Egads... Bonekickers by a metric mile (note the deliberate and unnecessary mistake)

Without a doubt 'Lost Treasures' - but you will only be able to witness this little gem if you live in the Granada TV region (I believe), were are so lucky!
Otherwise have a look at the website -
http://www.media53.co.uk/clizone/treasures/
It features the wonderful 'archaeologist' Mark Olly and perpetuates the notion that people in the north-west are morons who will believe anything a self-proclaimed expert will tell them.

Does anyone remember 'Hidden Treasures'? The BBC went out and held excavations on the sites of some half dozen outstanding metal-detector finds? I find that even more hateful than 'Bonekickers', because it was supposed to be real, but I worked on one of their sites and I know what they did!
