There is some confusion as to whether a certain unit is, or is not an IFA RAO.I have just attempted to clarify this point by searching the RAO bit on the IFA website with negative results. This particular unit seems to be using the IFA RAO kitemark on their stationary and Mr Hosty believes that they are in fact not an RAO at all.....Mr Hosty??? Two possible courses of action spring to mind:
a. ask the unit
b. ask the IFA

The answer to both questions is No..
they do not think they are, and the IFA don't think they are.
2 courses of action.... show me da evidence. .... show the IFA the evidence.

if it's the unit I'm thinking of. They were, but are no longer. Not for me to say why. But I think they must have missed off the bit of sticky tape they stuck over the RAO logo on the last letter they sent me. Whoops!!

If it is the unit I am thinking of why are they allowed to advertise on BAJR (esp. with BAJR's closening links with the IFA) ? Double standards?? I'll take your money.....

Or perhaps, there may be other reasons... like - for example...
Have they done anything wrong? I don't know yet... so I do not judge before seeing proof. (its a british thing
) and perhaps a reasonable word in the ear works better than a kick in the goolies.
I am learning that it is better to work with people to bring about change, rather than force people. You can be assured that advertisers have to meet the requirements for advertising... and that is enforced very strictly... (unless I make a mistake [:I] - but then I am soon reminded!)
I await the proof, then I can do something.... never before.

As far as I am aware there is no requirement to be a RAO organisation to advertise on BAJR just adherence to the pay guidelines.
