Bit annoyed this morning as I have just discovered my blog site provider is getting out of the 'free access' business.
Whilst in the process of setting up a new blog site, it occurred to me that there must be a lot of archaeological blogs out there...but if so they seem hard to find. Have found a couple of quite boring US blogs, but only Dave Beard's 'Archaeology In Europe' blog on this side of the Atlantic. Does anyone know of any sites?
I am willing to add hyperlinks via my new blog when it gets going...
Could be a new BAJR access resource maybe?

Thankyou for those. Exactly what I am looking for.
Quick look at Ironbridge blog warms the cockles.
PAS site needs more discernment to sort wheat from DCMS 'press-release' chaff.

The Wessex site is quite good, methinks.

I also like the Ironbridge one.

Thanks for the info on the Wessex site. Quite good and will include a link on my blog.
Still think that Ironbridge is the best to date, although the Thornborough site diary was fun during the more interesting parts of the evaluation.
Still open to more suggestions on this theme. Does anyone have any examples of truly awful archaeological blogs?

My blog (not entirely archaeological) can be found at
http://www.freewebs.com/departmentofurbanarchaeology. Apologies that the musical accompaniment won't be fixed until Thursday.
The OutWageUK blog page is at

I enjoyed your website Kevin, especially the Jim Callaghan section and the 'minimalist' archaeological websites.
