Recently on the American Archaeology Fieldwork website the following website was highlighted, after it appeared in a google ad.

but they are not alone, with other sites offering a chance to dig up entire sites and keep your finds.

Website does really say much does it
It's good that 'Archaeological consultation is available' but why should it really just pay and loot everyone happy.

I think its very sad.
Total destruction!!!
I also know some will compare this also to metal detecting rallies... but I think there is a difference.

Gods been on the 'digfest' website , theres a link from Past horizons site it's pretty mad

Its like a return to antiquarianism - a nice day out followed by a little light digging and souvenirs to go home with, although thats probably an injustice to antiquarians.
Does anyone know what the ad means by 'evaluated by archaeologists'? Who are these people ans why are they involved in this? The ad is very sparse on detail, so can anyone divulge more before my head explodes!
