I am interesting in pursuing an Msc in Archaeobotany after I graduate next year. Is there any particularly well recommended programmes in the UK for commercial archaeology? None seem to cover pollen studies or any other plant microfossils such as starch granules or phytoliths. Has anyone here taken Cambridge Mphil in archaeological science? Practical or too theoretical?

Thats why I now always (no matter which forum I am on) copy it first (ctrl-C) then press add reply. If it goes wrong, I have the text safe. Another trick is to write it on a text pad and copy it over.
If the post is long... always always copy it! :face-crying: sorry Gnome King.. I feel your loss.

Professor Arlene Rosen at UCL works with phytoliths so it might be worth asking her if there's scope for training with the MSc in Environmental Arcaheology there. Dr Dorian Fuller is the main archaeobotanist. As far as I know, there's no palynologist, although back in my day Pat Wiltshire gave lectures and training.
