Taken from Britarch today. Remarkable. Make of it what you will. David, you should be proud of being the only'lefty' standing in the country!
verbatim quote:
I admire Karl-James Langford, for placing his career on line and exposing the IFA for the LEFT WING organisation it actually is.
Karl-James Langford at no point was in any position to employ anybody for site work. That was my job. In fact Karl-James just pointed out on the Brit Arch forum that he wouldn't employ a member of a trade union or someone with strong socialist opinions. That is his right in a democracy to make those statements. The IFA is clearly not democratic. Then he was reported to the IFA by two known left wingers, and one of whom, I refused to employ years ago on an interview panel for their left wing views of Archaeology.
Also he had a right to use a paid volunteer on an excavation, how afterall are volunteers to work in this country, when the IFA stops any one getting experience on IFA member run projects.
Its best now, that the IFA is not the home for archaeology, after all it accepts the likes of David Connelly a radical left winger in its ranks who can say what he likes and get away with what he likes on his website. But of course the IFA would not expel him because he's a lefty.
I personally wouldn't have a trade unionist anywhere near me. And certainly would not want a socialist upsetting my workers on excavations, and filling their heads with rubbish.
OR YES, AND LASTLY Karl-James was not thrown out of the IFA for bad archaeological practice, infact nobody has ever questioned his competence. This is all a deliberate attempt to crucify an up and coming Liberal politician and archaeologist. The IFA now stands for, 'WE WILL KEEP CORRUPT ARCHAEOLOGISTS, AND NEVER EXPEL THEM AS MEMBERS, INFACT THE IFA ENCOURAGES BAD PRACTICE ON PROJECTS, HOW MANY OF ITS MEMBERS HAS IT EVER EXPELLED FOR BAD ARCHAEOLOGICAL PRACTICE?' After complaint after complaint from the public and other ifa members. I know in 2005/6 none were expelled, and through its history less than two spring to mind ever have. When we all know, and have read on this forum that there is so much mal - archaeological practice.
Its about time there was a body that was not run by communists, and for the better good of archaeology.
I rest my case.
Don't come to me for a job unionists and socialists.
HOWEVER THESE ARE NOT THE OPINIONS OF ARCHAEOLOGY CYMRU, in anyway shape or form.

Mr. Jones a member of the IFA I haven't given my full name, to save myself being expelled from the IFA, before I hand in my resignation which will be in the next two weeks.
