Prof. Cornelius Holtorf, in an article called Beyond crusades: how (not) to engage with alternative archaeologies Holtorf is appalled about the way archaeologists deal with ?alternative? or ?fringe? archaeologists, such as various 2012ers. Here is a reply as to why archaeologists should fight against this pseudo archaeology.

It's a cat, not a horse (yuk yuk!)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Theyr must be some way that you can find out if something is a pyrymyid or if its a hill without haveing to listen to closed shop people from closed shop universities/countries make up theories that they are almost always right when others are not. Has iyt been dug.

I do believe Unit has been out United.
And I am now worried that Unit feels asking Barry Bonkers to write his specialist report on Pyramids on the Midlands is perfectly acceptable.
Should Archaeology been accepting of Pseudo Archaeologists? OR Should it resist it.
Unit could perhaps find a job in Bosnia :face-stir: and fill out his own copyrighted context sheets, flogging them to star-being-tourists

ah but unit, would-be purveyor of pseudo archaeology via bonkers copyrighted context she'it, would find ready markets of ol'ladies tobe fleeced, hankering for midland pyramid schisms

Nice article..........I like it...........considered, carefully constructed presentation of the argument.
However, don't dissuade the cranks please........they are the most useful tool in diverting the true-seekers from the real secrets....................
