Why does it need to be discussed in private? I am new to this forum but I do have experience of a number of forums, this one seems very guarded, there is nothing to hide is there? The guys a bit indignant about losing money but he has not said anything particularly controversial.
This sounds quite threatening, I don't get it.

Why has the image been removed? and why is there a link to the rejected add on google. He must have seen it from somewhere, and claims that it links to this site still, or am I missing something. I think I may have seen this add myself though it could be total false memory syndrome, does look familiar though; how long ago was it?

What is baffling is the suggestion that BAJR is somehow to blame. (look one more time at the advert text... and tell me if I would pass that one as fit for human consumption) Obviously it was seen by this person... but how - that is a real mystery. You just should not be able to see rejected adverts.... and that concerns me.
I would suggest that they contact the university that the student went to, as I am sure they will be interested in this. and get them to pursue them.
and Annis... for a first post... good start!
One cannot make a public accusation that BAJR adverts (note the plural) are potentially rippoffs

mpoole Wrote:It was not 'censored', I removed the image provided as a stop-gap measure to ensure that nothing else inflammatory was posted in a public forum rather than allowing the discussion to go forward in private. If you feel you were censored, perhaps you could have addressed that issue with me in a private communication
Why should he have addressed it to you in a private communication? You removed something that was the crux of his argument, rightly or wrongly, however you want to dress it up, that is censorship. I think the guy has been a bit naive over this job, as already pointed out, but he has to have read it somewhere and it was on the BAJR database. Would you suggest he has hacked the BAJR database to apply for a rejected job advert. This issue should be discussed in the open, why shouldn't it?
In my experience on other forums, constant calls for private discussions are usually at the hands of inappropriate moderators who like to stifle debate; I don't think forums are for these types of individuals.
What the big secret? In my experience of the BAJR job site, the jobs have been genuine, and far more than Jobcentre Plus, lots of scams getting through on there, but this talk of inflammatory postings and private messages is off putting, it all sounds a little paranoid.
Has this advert appeared on BAJR website, even if just for a few hours?

Lots of demands there ... and feels rather like a lawyer making accusations. So one has to ask... what is your purpose.
One last time... and this is basicly it...
The advert..... does not meet the strict criteria required to have been passed .... Therefore this would... become a rejected advert. no invoice sent, no further action taken. remains on database though.... along with the others.
Could the advert have appeared on the BAJR jobs page... well this is the interesting thing... it should not - theoretically could not... Did he see an advert... well obviously... or he would not have contacted them.... though all my attempts at contact had no affect.

that is quite offensive to hard working moderators... and take this as a gently reminder of what you say. Paranoia... no... just plain comment on the thread...
What I would love to know is a) how the advert was visible for a start. AS I need to investigate a possible webscripting problem... and b) what exactly am I supposed to do for them. ? :face-huh:

- maybe, how about, hosty that you might like to consider a Reject Job Page. For a start float it with every adscam that you can find-put a disclaimer, try and make some dosh from the rejects at least-what you could also add to it is that you want a some

No purpose, just reading a thread and responding, I thought the response was a bit heavy compared to original post which was quite tame to me, can I not say that? I have said that my experience of BAJR has been that I have not come across such false job scams. I think my posts have been quite measured, I have never come across a response like this before to my posting.

I was making reference to other forumsI have been on, this is my experience, and my opinion of these experiences, am I not allowed to say if I think debate is stifled? I don't think this thread is for me to be honest, I shall go and find something a little more pedestrian.

As noted at the bottom of the edited message, I removed the image until the admin could make a decision.

Sorry...my personal opinion is that it would perhaps be a more professional approach to discuss it with the BAJR Host rather than turn it into a witch hunt!
This single minded pursuace of something which has been deemed a mistake and access to an advert which cannot be explained needs further explanation. As I've said before the point has been made - what else is required?
I am also on lots of other Forums and I would not say that this one is particulalrly guarded at all. Perhaps if you had participated in other threads more actively you would find that this is not the case.
I just think you and medi-eval are being very harsh on an organisation which provides a jobs service FREE and a forum FREE and endeavours to get things right.
