Maybe a silly question but is this area safe to work in? We would not be a million miles away from a couple of "hot" areas.

Iran is about 200km away. I don't reckon there is any real danger of it being attacked in the near future.

fear not.. the only time i did not go to Bahrain was during the first gulf war... that said I had been in iraq a few weeks before that war (was not my fault!) and have been to Iran and theran a few times... lovely people! .. been in Yemen, and been shot at in jest and in anger.. but in Bahrain.. you are as safe as walking about in Berlin
or London...
check if you wish... but I have yet to be properly bundled into the b...............

I'll bet though that on this job, going down the pub after work would be out of the question....I'd never survive
