Best to put yer dosh elsewhere mate.I joined "Prospect" back when they were IPMS. They really are about as useful as a waxwork dummy. In the steel industry. The IFA have been about for long enough to go through many sets of teeth and hav`nt bared them once. All we`re asking is that they chew with the rest of us.

I'm aware of the problems with both the IFA and Prospect, and I'm a member of one of them.
We've got the IFA and I think its pretty much here to stay.
All I can suggest is that we shape them both to our needs with highly sustained pressure; constant letters and hassling the reps. The more people who do this the louder we will become...I live in hope...its near Castleton....

I agree with mr host, some contact at this stage is better than none. Had indirect contact with Tim Howard and found him to be very communicative. Well worth giving a more than reasonable chance to have his say.

Give it a chance little trowie. You'd be more efective as part of a group and such a group would certainly benefit from your fine rhetoric.

I had an e-mail from Prospect recently asking for my employment details. This despite letting my union membership lapse 3 years ago! Clearly they can't even keep track of their own members. It sort of explains why they were so ineffectual when I desperately needed their help, and why I let my membership lapse.
I used to be a very active union rep for IPMS and Sparky you are right, the colours have not just faded, they were taken down and buried.[xx(]

Agreed on all counts.Perhaps I am being a bit hasty. After all, I`ve only been waiting for the IFA to get involved for 8 years. Some of my longer-serving colleagues have eyebrows entangled in their pubic hairs they`ve been waiting so long.

OK then, pubes, eye-brows, winnits, dangle-berries and dread-locks of every colour and unidentifiable scents aside, would it not be an idea to use this debate as a course of action to be decided over the BAJR conference; that is, the IFA and Prospect are here to stay so lets use them. And from this decide on a strategy and stick to it....?
