Hosty, is there a typo in this ad or is there a special deal for bajr applicants? Bajr is advertising the position at £16 682 p.a., while it's going for nearly £1000 less on their website!

It is likely to be a case of scale points. Council (and other) jobs like this may appoint at different points on the scale depending on the experience/negotiating power of the candidate. For a 4 month job, I'd say top whack, escecially if it means relocation. Nice job though.
