Quite right a non-ferrous metal is unlikely to afect a magnetometer survey, but although I agree that a sample grid or two would be wise after doing the test John suggests, it might be easier (although less impressive) to move your foot near the lowermost sensor, especially if using a Barty. The top sensor could be a bit high, but it depends on your flexibility!
