As a contractor you will presumably require Employers Liability Insurance as well as Public Liabilty, but if you are only contracting, i.e. not providing professional advice, you may not require Prof Indemnity, I would hazard.
But the documention from the LA will surely detail exactly what insurance is required and the level of cover - otherwise you could take out insurance for your pet's vets bill and righlty claim you have insurance!
