I remember working on an archaeological site where the site director was a full-time employee of the unit and the rest of us were self-employed diggers. One day the director couldn't come into work due to a stomach bug. The day's work was cancelled, we lost a day's pay but the site director got sick pay. It really brought home to me the inequality of the system! :face-huh:
