Stephen Jack, to quote the linguistical luminary that is Gene Hunt, you are in our manor and our domain, so stop with the passive-aggression and the, quite frankly, disgraceful attitude. Having read this entire debacle, it seems clear that you consider yourself above discussing this with us plebs, to which I simply invite you to just hop over the Channel, get to it, and send us a postcard from La Bastille when you consider yourself willing to actively participate in an intelligent exchange of ideas.
Find us a source for the legislation you're citing and we'll talk. And no, videos from TV-un don't count.
Its great to see archaeologists living up to their stereo type, don't let the facts get in the way of your rutted opinions and theories. Its ilegal, its illegal I hear, but not one person has referenced the legislation that covers beaches in France or how this legislation is implemented. I could give you links to it, but you are archaeologists. No one expects you to know it straight off, but you should know where to look. So no, find the legislation yourself.
