At last! Hopefully this will be a revelation/revolution for archaeologists!
First of all WELL DONE BAJR and its members for making this their mission, hard work certainly does pay off.

Huzzah! Looks a bit kinky don`t it! Can`t wait to get my grubby mitts on one of them beasties.On the competition to win one issue-how about if I send in a piccie of me illustrating my opinion of the tin-foil ones by sledge hammerin one into the afterlife? With a chocolate eclair.Thankyou Getatrowel-gizza go at one? Will road test it.If good, will shout from the rooftops-if I break it, will sob and revert to mattock.p.s-hope you will discount for universities too-try and keep it close to the cost of the good old respected WHS or we may just feel that wer`e getting our baby back but being charged more for it!

hehe sounds like a plan Troll - we will publish anything, as long as its something to do with archaeology, so smash ahead!
In response to your post, and sniper's, no the red handled WHS trowel is not the new redesigned trowel. It is the Premier WHS 4" trowel - pretty much the same as the traditional just a damn sight more comfy.
We had not heard about the new redesigned WHS when we launched the site, but are equally as excited as you guys. The Premier is good for anyone with a few extra quid to spare!
And finally, we most certainly will not be ripping anyone off with the new trowel! As far as I know it will be about the same price as the current traditional WHS. We are keen to support archaeology and that means being fair!
So watch this space, in the meantime .... get your pictures in and win some stuff!

All I can say a big thanks to WHS for doing a new trowel. Hopefully this can put a stop to the tedious on-site ' the-new-WHS-trowels-are so-rubbish' conversation im forced to take part in seemingly on a daily basis. One drawback is the now fully expected 'isnt-it-great-having-the-oldstyle-whs-trowel back', or 'arent-the-new-ones-great' conversation. Cant we just stick to Big Brother. Keep in Chantalle..
