If you had a spare tiger, you could do a nice sideline in gladiator cemeteries?

Now you're just being silly!
But I could paint black stripes on the dog if it brings in more money...
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

So you've got an orange dog.... cool! Are you a Blackpool supporter?
As for the advert, I'm surprised they don't just get Dr Alice to do it - she seems to be doing everything else!

She did her bit a few years ago (once is probably enough), she was their bone person for a while, that's what sprung her into TV - think its all explained in the current British/Current Arch, one of them anyway. When I worked for them the only bits of me they seemed to find photogenic were my hands and arse (trowelling, honest!) so think I'll be giving it a miss :face-approve:

Well yes, Dino, she's actually in both the comics (twice in one of them) - that's my point! She is somewhat ubiquitous. Not that I'm criticizing, she's an agreeable presenter.

Thought that last TV series she did was excellent, the 'out of Africa' one, actually they've all been pretty good. Fan club, anyone? :face-approve:

Sad thing is I know several people who will be interested in doing this...
A short show-reel of yourself; no longer than 3 minutes. Please include why you wanted to become an archaeologist and describe a particular site or find that you consider interesting or important and why. We would particularly like examples that are specific to you in relation to your own archaeological experience rather than generic examples e.g. stonehenge.
Show reel - effectively saying 'I know a bit about archaeology and I wanna really wanna be on telly. Please' }
:face-topic:
Interestingly I think perhaps TT are bit behind the times with this. For a production company not to have twigged onto having a behind the scenes blog before now is a bit rough. I just hope they actually update it often. Nothing worse than a website which is a. never updated and b. a webcast where the last entry was ten months previous. Web sites should be treated as live documents not just as repositories for data.

What they should really have is an independent archaeologist doing a critique of the most recent broadcast, digging standards, how messy Phil's trowelling was on a scale of 1-10, the week's most ludicrous and unsupported conclusion jumped to etc etc
