I don?t know what you are all moaning about this job looks like minimally ?42500 for two or three evaluations trenches to find the 18th century. It might even be ?542500 but I am struggling to get all the figures in? I recon 2 people per trench for 2 days that?s 1 person for 4 days times three, 12 days lets say half is for post ex, machining-so 22250 divide by 12, its getting to be around ?1800 per day per digger or is it, cant be, ?22600 per day.

Speaking as someone who works for a non-RAO (never been any point/interest), bring on the tender-by-quality, about time, might show up a few of the RAOs that IFA should have kicked out years ago but who still manage to get work because they hold that dubious and apparently empty 'title' :face-stir:
- oh, job I'm starting on Monday was won on quality :face-approve:

ouch....
However, that would also mean that quality was the deciding factor.
Am trying to talk to more and more units about competing on quality. it's an idea. imagine winning because you were offering good archaeology rather than cheap archaeology. time to put teh throat cutting knife away perhaps :face-thinks:

They might have a little trouble casting the enormous concrete block if we don't hand-craft 100% of the hole
