I would have though IFA membership would be taken as read if you express an interest as it is an IFA Standards wotsit...or am I just being cynical?

Does anybody know how many "consultants" are required (x?13.500)? Wheres the place of work? or is this a self-employed position? Are there expenses. And is it to create a guidence about guidences for guides who created the guides in the first place?

Now I am really confused, so alogoaooa and the ifa have 130000 eh and seh pennies (with strings attached) and they want a consultancy to write about girl guides. Why dont we get our woggles out and do one for them here at bajr. I propose the title

The intent of this proposal has to be a good thing, despite the fact that ?13,500 appears to be a rather small sum. Maybe a warm hearted consultancy may add a little pro bono considering the importance of the guidelines.
It seems to me that such guidelines will help in establishing the concept of HER advice as enshrined in PPS5. I recognise that there are many successful models for such guidance already in existence through custom and practice in a variety of local authorities and local authority advisory services. Building upon those examples to propose a model for a national standard cannot be a bad thing and I am sure will do as much to consolidate the role of exisiting officers and offices as it will to highlight deficiences in less enlightened authorities.
Jokes about Girl Guides are puerile at the best of times. I hope that no-one will be distracted from the importance of this proposition and the significance of the proposed guidelines.
